The engine in this JK is the 3.8l V6, stock it produces 205bhp. The first modification I am going to carry out is the induction system, this will release power without any other alterations. The induction system I have gone for is the TrueFlow XDI system (Xtreme Duty Intake).

The new induction system should give a power increase of 12bhp. plus it will also let the engine rev more easy, it is a simple bolt on change, which will make a big difference.

Another item that is going to be fitted/used is the Hypertech Max Energy Power Programmer, some of its functions are:-

• Lowers Cooling Fan "On/Off" Temperatures
• Premium & Regular Fuel Power Tuning
• Speedometer/Odometer Correction for Tyre Size Changes
• Automatically corrects speedometer and odometer readings for non-stock gear ratio changes
• Reads, Displays and Clears Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC’s)

One of the other modifications that will be done fairly soon after the SVA will be a performance cat-back exhaust. The unit I will be going with is a MagnaFlow, it is full Stainless Steel construction, and gives an increase in power and torque (see dyno sheet below).
